Best Manhattan, New York Penthouses

Posted by Wei Min Tan on December 12, 2023

Owning a condo penthouse in Manhattan is a global status symbol.  Penthouses are the best apartment(s) in a building.  It can be on the top floor of a super luxury tower like 432 Park Avenue or the biggest apartment in a low density Soho or Tribeca building with 10 floors.

A penthouse is usually the largest apartment in the building, has the highest ceilings and most dramatic views.  While we like to think there is only one penthouse per building, in reality there are usually multiple penthouses, referring to all the highest floor and largest apartments within a building.  In some buildings the top 2 floors are all penthouses with the PH address.  In others, perhaps the top 5 floors have the PH address.

The process of selecting a penthouse

The best penthouse apartment on the market?  It depends.  In representing global investor clients looking for a Manhattan penthouse for diversification, we will analyze many factors including:

    • Appreciation potential
    • Location
    • Scarcity of the product
    • Architect
    • Views
We will preview the apartments, shortlist to a few and only bring the client to view the shortlisted apartments.   This is because our clients wanting a penthouse apartment usually have very limited time for apartment shopping and leave 99 percent of the due diligence work to us.  A top end penthouse apartment in Manhattan will have significant appreciation potential in an up market because of the scarcity of such a unique product.

What We Do

We focus on global investors buying Manhattan condos for portfolio diversification and long term return-on-investment.
1) Identify the right buy based on objectives
2) Manage the buy process
3) Rent out the property
4) Manage tenants
5) Market the property at the eventual sale
