Manhattan Neighborhoods

Posted by Wei Min Tan on September 10, 2017

Manhattan is generally divided into Uptown (above 59th St), Midtown (between 30th St to 59th St) and Downtown (below 30th St).

Central Park, the green rectangle in the center of the map, runs from 60th St to 110th St. Fifth Avenue is the divider between east and west. For example, East 51 St means it’s east of Fifth Avenue. West 51 St means it’s west of Fifth Avenue.
